Building Bridges Film Intervention Study

About

The Building Bridges project is a filmmaking and film intervention project led by Dr. Briana. This project focuses on sharing the story of Mr. Ibrahim Songne, who immigrated from Burkina Faso to Italy with his family at the age of 11 and pursued his dream of opening his own pizza shop, IBRIS Pizza. IBRIS Pizza has had positive social and environmental impacts in it’s community by participating in Italy’s zero-kilometer food movement. Mr. Songne is using his platform to build bridges among Africans and Italians in Trento, Italy through food and cultural exchange to improve intergroup relations, advocate for human rights, and build a diverse, vibrant, and healthy community.  The Building Bridges study will examine the impact of the Building Bridges narrative film intervention on reducing loneliness and social isolation and increasing motivation towards inclusive behavior among adults living in Trento, Italy, and surrounding areas.
